About Three Rivers Insurance Agency

In the fall of 1919, Ben F. McCarroll purchased several small insurance agencies in Payette, New Plymouth, and Fruitland and formed the B.F. McCarroll Insurance Agency. In October of 1923, H.K. Dent, founder of a company that later became known as Safeco Insurance Companies, convinced Mr. McCarroll to represent what was then called General of America Insurance Company. Other companies that Mr. McCaroll represented at that time, like the Hartford and Reliance, canceled their agency contracts when they learned of the new association with General. Mr. McCarroll operated the agency alone until September of 1945. It was then that his son John R. (Bob) McCarroll, joined the firm. A few years later in 1949 Mr. McCarroll, the founder of the agency passed away.

We’ve been with Three River Insurance for just over two years now and our experience has been amazing! Our agent Gary Winters is the Bomb!! If we have any questions or need help with anything he is always so helpful and quick to respond. I’ve been with other companies before and it usually takes days to weeks before I hear back from them, not Gary! We usually hear back from him within the same day! I actually think of Gary as more of a friend than our insurance agent!! So, if you’re looking for a great insurance company and an awesome agent this is definitely the one you want!

Excellent work was done by By three Rivers insurance especially Luke who was representing my concerns ,he was more more than knowledgeable and helpful getting my general liability insurance for my company and Workers Comp in timely fashion and his response was great and on time.

Three Rivers is a great insurance company. Luke is very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Recently we had to have our windshield replaced and Luke took care of everything. We have been with Three Rivers for over five years. I would highly recommend them!
