As a business owner I got an agent Arlin Perez from Trfopical Insurance to help getting me a quote for workers comp. I had another company before her that just didnt help in obtaining all policies needed. Arlin was struggling to get my company insured so i told her to stop the workmans comp just a week after it started to begin all policies together. she sent the cancellation but Texas Mutual never cancelled and as of right now im still not insured and texas mutual will not refund my down payment because they claim i had been insured all this time. I told them that im not even working and that all i was waiting for was a refund but they just had the policy run out of funds before it cancelled for non payment.

They have more or less treated me fairly. I was injured at work and Texas mutual has not hindered my recovery process. The financial support they have shown me during these trying times has helped me out tremendously.
Staff is nice but watch out. Texas Mutual tries to charge you as much as possible. We were closed for business last year (2020) for 4 months due to covid. We are a small company employed by husband, wife and teen daughter answers phones. We are being charged an extra $3,000 for workman’s comp insurance. This is crazy!
If you are looking for a company with low morale, lack of communication, denying claims, and investigating you for mistakes they made, you have found the right company to represent your injury. My wife should have obtained a lawyer in the beginning. This company actively calls its doctors to interrogate them on why they feel you still need help but doesn’t call you to make sure you are informed on the process, need anything or are okay. They deny specialists that were recommended and given referrals for in the very beginning, therefore increasing the amount of healing it will take getting care from a mediocre/less experienced doctor.
