This five star rating is specifically for Lehan Thompson (one of their representatives) and less about TDIC in general. The company has left a sour taste in my mouth in the recent past.

Lehan was very helpful, without her assistance I would have not been able to resolve the issue I had with my workman’s comp policy. I initially got the major run around with other representatives and she really helped get things done. I really appreciate her and her customer service skills. Because of the frustrations and weeks of not being able to resolve the issues with previous representatives, I have decided to go with another carrier for my Workman’s Comp policy. I considered leaving TDIC entirely as I have several insurance policies with them but Lehan and her diligent work and follow up convinced me to retain them for my other insurance policies.

She is an asset to the company and I hope they use her to train others and only hire people like her because we need professionals like her in these type of positions.

Each year I spend a ton of money on various coverages and the expectation is professionalism the way Lehan Thompson had exhibited.

If I can give them a -5 star or the worst company to do business with, I will. I am doing a Business with them for almost 5 years! This company is so bad. I will even file a complain to California Dental Association for this company. I moved here from East coast due to my wife job relocation. I asked the CDA and they recommended me TDIC, which is the stupidest decision I had ever made to trust CDA person to do business with this company. I still have 2 insurances with them and I am trying to switch to other company. No one pick up the phone when you call. So just be careful, read all the bad reviews on google and that exactly happened into my business. Don’t trust their 5 stars review. Terrible experience.

After 6 years of being with them, they canceled my Worker’s comp policy when I was on maternity leave and they won’t reinstate it anymore.

They ask for audit paperwork so late that you get no time to take care of it. They didn’t once bother emailing or calling me regarding the needed paperwork. Instead, sent a letter to my office which I obviously missed being at home with a newborn.

I asked multiple times to speak with a manager to resolve the issue. I was passed around between two people who had no intentions to help out and instead they wanted to sell an outside company insurance to me.

Just a terrible experience.

I have been covered with TDIC since 1989. Really great Risk Management information and customer service. I have not had any problems with them whatsoever and I deeply appreciate how if we all do well and litigation is avoided sometimes they return part of your premium. I appreciate the options for a part time discount. And education in risk management discount. Their response to us being shut down for the Covid outbreak was also professional and compassionate. Now that I am retiring, I can honestly say that Lehan actually made the process fun. She is super competent and made sure everything was exactly right before we moved forward. Like all things, you get back what you send out…. Don’t have a clue why anyone is having a problem with this company. I am deeply grateful to know they have had my back and I have never had to worry about this through my career. Thanks, TDIC. Best wishes!
