Absolute worst insurance company to work with HANDS DOWN. We’ve been waiting for over 3 weeks on our adjuster to get us estimates back….. only to get estimates back and them tell us they are covering 3 shingles on our entire roof, not covering labor for siding damage and won’t replace any additional shingles even though ours are discontinued. Their words were “put another green shingle up there and it’ll be fine” …. they constantly back track on their words, lie about everything and told us today that our business wasn’t valued and we could switch companies or sue them in court if we didn’t like the way they worked. I’ve never talked to someone so unprofessional. If you want a company that will actually help you and stand behind you when something happens to your house, DO NOT GO WITH STATE AUTO. They are absolutely terrible!

An insured of State Auto Insurance hit my car, was at fault and I submitted my information to this company two days ago. I continue to call and wait for a return call from the adjuster. I sit and I wait. This company presents as very sketchy and skep and after reading the reviews, my gut reaction is correct. Unprofessional and unresponsive.

The worst Insurance company EVER !!! My car was stolen and part of a larger crime spree that took up a block in my neighborhood.

I had a signed affidavit. Police reports. Everything I needed to process my claim.

It took over a month to process my denied claim. My car was found in another City 24 hours after it was stolen with the Engine blown with no gas.

The insurance Agents are accusatory!!! They will do every thing they can to deny your claim so they do not have to pay out. Awful customer services !!! They wanted phone records .. services records ..and still denied my claim!! Karma will come!

Went through the car wash, and it took off and broke our back windshield wiper. When it was reported to the insurance company, they claimed that Shell did nothing wrong and it was not negligence. Why would Shell not be held responsible for the damages induced by their car wash? How are customers suppose to trust their car won’t get damaged going through it? State Auto the insurance company refused to pay claiming it wasn’t Shells fault. Glad to know they don’t care about customers

Terrible insurance, horrible coverage, they don’t care about the customer one bit…I have full coverage, was in an accident where the other party admitted fault and was ticketed accordingly. I was then given a rental car that is not handicap accessible, which is required for me as a wheelchair bound person, to boot it is only a 3 day rental.. When I asked for help to resolve the issue I was told All-State (the other parties insurance) should be reaching out to me soon and they’d discuss other rental options so they completely shoved everything off on AllState rather than taking care of the State Auto policy holder. I see why this was so much cheaper than the competition, you get what you pay for or don’t get what you don’t pay for I should say…there’s a reason it’s cheap!
