About Olderman & Hallihan Insurance Agency

The Olderman & Hallihan Agency was started by Samuel Olderman in 1929. At that time, it was known as The Samuel E. Olderman Agency. Richard, Samuel’s son, joined his father’s agency in1960. He worked alongside his father, learning the business from the ground up. Richard’s childhood best friend, Tom Hallihan, was working in the insurance industry at Travelers Insurance Co. In 1970, Richard convinced Tom to leave Travelers and join him at The Olderman Agency, at which point the agency changed names to The Olderman & Hallihan Agency.
