I had a variable annuity with New York Life through Scott Herrell in town. I tried to collect the surrender amount through the company but it was taking a while and it was difficult to find time to call the company and getting ahold of an agent on the phone before 1 PM (Eastern Standard Time). Scott Herrell never returned my call, he said he thought I would call the main line if I didn’t hear from him. Then in the middle of explaining, he hung up the phone. We are all overworked and underpaid during Covid, but the work ethic is unprofessional. I suggest you find another job you are passionate for!
