Sharon and her late husband, Paul, moved to Elk Rapids from New York in the early 1990s. In 1996, she opened her own insurance office in Elk Rapids as part of the Larkin Group. Then, in 2000, she left the group to create Fitzpatrick Insurance Agency – an independent agency focused on customer service. They operate on a basic principle – to educate people and give them a straight answer. As insurance becomes more and more complicated, she helps her clients understand and navigate their options.
