My company shopped our insurance with 5 brokers at our last renewal and Fairmont was the last to the race. We didn’t think that they would bring anything to the table, but they ended up being the cheapest. So we bought the policy through them for our family entertainment center and the service is stellar.
After some of the reviews on Google are not very descriptive, I wanted to provide a more in-depth review of my experiences with Fairmont.
After having several bad experiences with brokers, we decided to give Fairmont Insurance a chance. We have been customers for about two years.
The Pros:
They are a local company, with a dedicated sales rep that answers our questions and addresses all issues we may have.
The sales reps are very interested in keeping your business, which means several late night and early morning responses to critical concerns.
A dedicated email for certificates of insurance, with 99% of our certificates issued within a couple of hours.
The Cons:
During holiday periods, their turnaround times for emails are delayed.
When employees leave their position or company, there is a choppy sticky point as the new person takes over.
Auto insurance claims and issues can take quite some time for their review, but not sure if that is their fault or the auto company.
If you are a construction or service business, with hundreds or thousands of COIs issued each year, this is a solid company to use and you will not be disappointed.
Poor customer service – wouldn’t even let me get one whole sentence out without cutting me off. Didn’t believe that I could possibly renew my insurance online through Travelers (I did – it’s 2021) and told me they couldn’t help me and put me back in their never-ending phone menu loop that doesn’t ever transfer you to anyone. Will cancel my policy ASAP.
My company needed to replace our current Insurance right away and we were referred to Fairmont Insurance. From the first phone call, they handled our needs with professionalism, courtesy and speed. Within a short while they got us quotes that were cheaper and with better coverages than our previous policies. Since then, any request we have has been dealt with in a timely fashion. Highly recommended.
