Our story began back in 1931 when Clyde Roper and Harold Correll started First Mutual Agency in Spartanburg. In 1960, First Mutual merged with Willis Insurance. Over time, the name was changed to Correll Willis Agency, and the agency quickly gained recognition as an insurance industry leader. In 1970, Charles Smith became a partner in the agency and the name changed once again to Correll Willis Smith. In 1975, the Gault Agency in Gaffney was acquired, and in 1990, the agency was reorganized under the current name Correll Insurance Group.
