About Ansvar
Ansvar have been creating specialist commercial insurance policies for churches, charities and the not-for-profit sector for over fifty years and as we’re owned by a charity ourselves, we share many of the same ideals. We’re also socially responsible which means we don’t work with companies whose businesses revolve around alcohol, tobacco, gaming or armaments and each year we donate a share of our profits to organisations involved in alcohol and drug education for school-aged children. Ansvar means ‘responsibility’ in Swedish, which gives a clue to Ansvar’s roots which go back to 1932 when the company was established out of the Swedish Temperance movement.Today Ansvar has become a leading charity insurer in the UK and is a business division of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc.
