About Worldcare Australia

Worldcare has not always been known strictly for travel insurance. We were founded in 1983 by a Queensland physician. He experienced first-hand the challenges and effort associated with bringing his seriously injured son back home to Australia from overseas, and was motivated to help others in need. In 2001 Worldcare was bought by the Allianz Group, one of the world’s leading insurance companies. The Allianz ownership began under the company name Mondial Assistance, followed by a 2011 rebrand to Allianz Global Assistance.

Have used Worldcare 3 times now. Easy on-line application process even for someone with a pre-existing medical condition. Price was more than competitive with other major travel insurance providers. Made one claim and it was settled quickly and efficiently. Will definitely use again.

Luckily I didn’t need to make a claim but I gave Worldcare a high rating due to its easy online purchase. I had an operation in December (which doesn’t affect my travel ability) and with Worldcare’s online prompts, I was able to advise what it was and so wasn’t charged extra. With all other travel insurance companies I got a quote from, I either had to phone for more information or would have been charged extra.

We have now used World Travel Insurance for a many years for multiple trips to Europe, USA and China and are most satisfied with their service. We’ve had a minor medical incident and they were immediately available for guidance and support. Their claims process and Department Staff are very professional and easy to deal with and resolve claims expeditiously.
