Never switch to PD Insurance. Why? They have got the worst customer service I have ever encountered. At the time when called to registered my comprehensive car policy with the customer service representative, they assured me that everything was taken care of. Later when I tried to view it online, my policy details were not there. When I phone them they said they could not find my details and was asked did I registered and paid my insurance with PD Insurance. Luckily I have written down my policy number and I said I can confirm that I did. Because I found that the customer service representative was a bit rude, I asked to speak to their immediate supervisor or manager to lodge a compliant and was told that the manager was unavailable and ask me to leave my details and he or she will call me back later on the day – no call back was made. The next day I called PD Insurance again and was told the manager was out of the office and another customer service representative asked me to call back the following day and again no call back was made.

THE worst insurance company experience I’ve had in my life. I don’t normally post negative reviews but the following points are worth considering if you’re thinking of buying PD Insurance for your car.

1) be prepared to have 1-2 hours free each time you need to call them about your claim.

2) be prepared to follow them up with multiple 1-2 hour phone calls in the coming weeks of your claim to progress the matter along

3) be prepared to be treated with complete and utter disdain as a paying customer, they don’t actually want to help you.

4) be prepared to watch them squirm out of helping you get paid quickly or paying the correct amount. Mine was $1500 short leaving me to deal with Bruce the smash repairer with my car as ransom.

5) be prepared to move insurance companies if you do have the misfortune of having to deal with PD. They’re more than frustrating and almost deliberately inept, it feels like they’re smiling whilst constantly making you wait and non stop tying to stuff you around.

I trully wish I’d read these reviews before purchasing car insurance from this company. While very quick to take my money, and sign me up for roadside assistance when I had an accident (Only to then inform me that they couldn’t/wouldn’t assist) they haven’t responded to any of the emails pleading for help for weeks. Even the car repairer has had no response for weeks! Do they hope I’ll go away if they ignore me long enough? I’ve sat on hold for hours every 3 or so days only to be asked to leave a name and number. The online chat person just keeps asking me to ring them, only to be ignored yet again. Sadly getting desperate and looking at legal avenues to get a resolution. Buyer beware! PS: My Policy number is PDO449273

I am a current unhappy DP car insurance customer. I requested the company to cancel my claim and provide a letter to confirm the cancellation so I can deal with the other party’s insurance company. I contacted PD ‘s by phone a few times, each time I waited for more than 20 minutes and eventually hang up. I sent several emails and received no replies. I also used their chat service a few times, all I got were apologies but no action. What ‘s a blackhole. I will not recommend PD for car insurance and will seriously consider switching to other insurance companies which can response to my request promptly.

In PD response below, they said that they tried to contact me. I am not sure how, I received no replied email, no phone call, no SMS…How did you try to contact PD Insurance ? 🙁
